How to use the scientific calculator
Switch between three modes: Scientific for expressions with sin, cos, log, factorials, nCr and nPr; Programmer for binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal integers; and Statistics for the mean, median, mode, variance and standard deviation of a list of numbers. History and memory stay on this page.
Also known as: online calculator, hex calculator, binary calculator, standard deviation calculator · हिंदी में: साइंटिफिक कैलकुलेटर
Choose Scientific, Programmer or Statistics mode.
Check DEG or RAD before using trigonometric functions.
Type an expression such as sin(30) or log(1000), or enter your numbers.
Calculate, then reuse results from history or memory.
Getting the best result
Choose Scientific for expressions, Programmer for binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal, or Statistics for a list of numbers. Check DEG or RAD before using trigonometry. Use parentheses for functions, such as sin(30), log(1000) and nCr(5, 2). Your history and memory stay on this page.
Good to know
Scientific results use floating-point arithmetic and are displayed to 12 significant digits. The percent operator divides by 100. Programmer operations use exact integers with a chosen 32-bit or 64-bit word size; overflow wraps within that width. Refreshing or leaving this page clears calculations and history.
Scientific calculator: frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you start.
Can it do binary and hexadecimal calculations?+
Yes. Programmer mode works with binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal integers in a 32-bit or 64-bit word size. It supports AND, OR, XOR, NOT, shifts and arithmetic, and shows each result in all four bases.
Does the calculator use degrees or radians?+
Either. Set DEG or RAD before calculating sin, cos or tan. In degrees, sin(30) is 0.5.
Is the calculator free?+
Yes. It is free to use with no signup and no subscription.
Are my calculations saved or uploaded?+
No. Calculations run in this browser. History and memory are kept only while the page is open.
