Decide the reading order
Before selecting files, decide which document should come first. For an application, this might be the form followed by supporting documents in the order requested. Keep a copy of every original PDF.
If your source documents are photos, use Images to PDF to create a PDF first. This is useful for scanned pages and phone photos that need to sit together in a document.
Merge, then review
- Open Merge PDF and select the documents you want to combine. The files are processed in your browser.
- Review the selected files and move them into the required order before merging. Each document’s pages stay in their existing order.
- Start the merge and download the resulting PDF. Larger documents can take longer and use more device memory.
- Open the downloaded PDF in your usual viewer. Check the first page, the boundaries between documents, and the final page for missing or duplicated pages.
- Confirm that all pages are readable and the combined file meets the recipient’s size limit. Merging PDFs does not automatically compress them.
Need only a few pages?
Use Split PDF to extract the pages you need before combining them with other documents. Check the extracted file before continuing so that the final document contains only the intended pages.
A merge changes the document structure. Do not assume an existing digital signature remains valid after editing; keep the original signed document when signature validity matters.
